Marriage - Marriage is based on the consent of the woman and man to give themselves, each to the other, mutually and definitively, in order to have a covenant of faithful and fruitful love. The Church recognizes that each couple is unique and hopes that they will actually plan and participate in a nuptial ceremony, distinctly their own while following a pattern standard to all Catholic weddings.
